Committed to Sustainability
Milner Recycling began as Nanaimo’s wood waste and asphalt shingle disposal site and has grown into a full-service recycling facility. We accept non-hazardous waste from residential, commercial, and municipal customers, using on-site sorting and equipment to divert the majority of materials from landfill.

Invasive Plant Management
Certain plant species require special handling to prevent spreading. Common invasive plants include Himalayan Blackberry, English Ivy, Scotch Broom, Japanese Knotweed, and more. Toxic plants such as Giant Hogweed and Poison Hemlock are also accepted with care.

Hazardous Material Disposal
Milner Waste makes handling hazardous materials easy and compliant. We safely remove asbestos, lead, mould, vermiculite, and other regulated materials. Our team follows all WorkSafeBC guidelines and is certified to transport dangerous goods. We provide guidance every step of the way to keep your project safe and legal.
